02/08/01  In the latest issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine (Jill Scott graces the cover), they have a little blurb about TLC and the two Left Eye/Chilli solo albums.  First off, it states that Left Eye is working with producers Twin Dragons and Cool Ruckus, and also has plans to meet with The Neptunes.  She's halfway done it says.  As for the guest appearances, it says she's still awaiting 'confirmation' on some of the large names like Jay-Z, Lil' Kim, Lenny Kravitz, and Prince.  And what else besides the solo album?  Well, Lisa recently did another photo shoot with Hype Williams while she was in Honduras.  And crazy enough, Left Eye's taking up.....boxing?  Don't put it past her.  She has a big punching bag in her Atlanta home that she practices with everrrrry morning.  What else, Lisa?

07/31/01  Be sure to pick up the new issue of Vibe magazine with Outkast on the cover.  It features a three-page article on Lisa along with a few new pictures.  The article also talks about a new book Lisa is writing called "Open" - a collection of writings detailing her life-altering experiences in Usha Village, Honduras.  While in Honduras Lisa also had Hype Williams down there to take pictures for the book.  No word on when it will be out, but we'll keep you posted.

Today's Black Women: Marose said the book, called Open, was an autobiographical account of Lopes’ spiritual journey since finding peace of mind in a Honduran healing village that promotes and teaches a form of African herbal medicine. Apparently, she loved it so much that she began to put down roots there and bought a condo.

“She absolutely loved the country and wanted to live there,” Marose. “Anybody who watched her over the last couple of years saw that there was literally a physical change in her because she had changed so much. She was an amazing person filled with boundless energy.”
