Show Box
'The Cut!' was a 1998 MTV show that searched for talented artists of all genre's of music that featured future acts such as Anastasia and Ne-Yo with an endless amount of celebrity guests with record label executives as judges, created by Adam Tyler.
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes was asked by an executive of the show to be host while recording 'Fantasy1.com' and 'FanMail' with TLC, and she agreed. This was the first time she hosted a live talent TV competition show, one of, if not, the first of it's kind. She amazed everyone with her extended range of looks (designed by Kyle Young and herself), her live and encouraging personality that they asked her to come on for a second season. She had to turn it down because she had to put TLC first since promoting 'FanMail' was now her new #1 priority. They tried to see if season 2 could happen while Lisa did the 'FanMail Tour' in North America but it wasn't working out. The show new aired again since, nor were there any follow up seasons.
