AOL TLC Chat
AOLiveMC8: HBO and AOL Live are very pleased to have TLC here with us tonight! Welcome, ladies! How are you? Ready to chat with your fans?
TLC: Hi, everybody, great to be here. We are ready to go.
AOLiveMC8: OK! Here we go! First audience question for Lisa:
Question: Left Eye, how was it to work on the song "Space Cowboy" with *NSYNC?
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: The guys in *NSYNC are really cool. They were in the studio session with me, which is rare, and they do a lot of their own production.
Question: Jmeg37: Hi, TLC! I love you guys! :o) I was just wondering... what's up with the "Dear Lie" video? Is it gonna be released soon?
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: To my knowledge, it has been released. Some people contacted me to say they saw it. I don't know when it happened, though.
Question: How do you all feel when little girls and big women come up to you in the grocery stores, malls, etc., and they tell you that you've changed their lives, or that TLC had a great impact on their life?
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas: It makes you feel like what you are doing is -- making me feel good about what I am doing.
Question: Hi, TLC, did you know your band also stands for "Tender Loving Care"? The song made me realize it wasn't my fault when my ex broke my nose and that I'm still pretty no matter what!
Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas: Thanks, glad to hear that it helped.
Question: Will you guys ever rap with Juvenile? Left Eye, I know you do songs with a lot of other people like Will Smith, etc. Will you ever consider Juvenile?
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: It might be a possibility.
Question: Hey, girls! I love the new album. I was just wondering if you guys have started working on a new album, or if you're thinking about it?
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: No, we have not started working on a new album. As soon as we do, we will let you know.
Question: How was it to do "Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg"? Do you like that song? And Left Eye, do you still have the big hat?
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: Yes, that is one of my favorite songs, and I have 3 or 4 of those big hats.
Question: Are you guys sick of the rumors about you always breaking up?
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: No matter how bad it gets, I never let it affect my everyday life.
Question: Is there anything you want to improve on in your group?
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas: Yes, do you have any suggestions? There is always room for improvement.
Question: Chilli, it looks like you sing a lot more on this album. I just want to say that you have a great voice.
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas: Well, thank you very much.
Question: Chilli, how has being on the road changed your life with your son?
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas: Well, he was on the road with me, so I wasn't away from him.
Question: You guys are great. I was wondering if you guys have any hobbies besides singing.
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas: I have a ton of hobbies, but my number one hobby is cooking and baking.
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: My number one hobby is change.
Question: Does TLC have an official website?
TLC: TLCFanmail.com. There is another great website called TLCForever.com, which is actually better than ours.
Question: What is your favorite song so far that you've made all around?
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: That is a tough one. I love our Christmas song.
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas: That is hard for me too. "Hat 2 Da Back" has to be my favorite.
Question: How did you feel about the winnings at the Grammys?
Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas: It felt great. I was very honored.
Question: Left Eye, why do they always cut your great rap out of the songs on the radio? You have an amazing cut.
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: The song versions are edited according to how the radio stations cut it. I have no control over that.
Question: Chilli, was it fun to be in "Snow Day"? I saw the movie, and I thought it was great.
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas: It was a lot of fun. I love acting.
Question: My 8-year-old would like to know when your special will be on HBO.
TLC: This Saturday at 8:00PM ET.
Question: Who designs all of your outfits for videos and appearances on TV shows?
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas: Julie Mijares.
Question: Left Eye, I saw you at the zoo for the kid who got shot... what is your outlook on teen violence?
TLC: Being a mom, it is scary. I don't know if I want him to go to school or have home teaching. It is unfortunate that some of these kids don't have a stable home, and that is where it all starts. That is why my career decisions are based around him. I am a mom first.
Question: Left Eye, where do you get your hairstyles from?
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: Nikki Martinez.
Question: Left Eye or anyone, do you recommend getting tattoos? 'Cause I'm thinking about it. I was just wondering if I'll regret it later in life.
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas: I personally think you should wait 奏il at least 21. Teenagers are too indecisive, and things change so quickly. That is why I would wait 奏il 21.
Question: Left Eye, how was it to collaborate with *NSYNC in their song "Space Cowboy"? By the way... you bust the rap like nobody I've ever heard!
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: *NSYNC is very easy to work with. It was fun.
AOLiveMC8: OK... time is running out. Here is our last question of the evening:
Question: Hi, 'sup? I was just wondering if you guys got to pick any music group to sing a song with, who would it be?
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas: I would like to work with Janet Jackson.
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: Lenny Kravitz, Prince, Santana, Chris Gaines, Lil' Kim and Michael Jackson.
AOLiveMC8: Left Eye, Chilli, thanks so much for being here tonight!
TLC: Thanks for having us here. One more thing, we are not breaking up, and we are not thinking of breaking up, and we hope you enjoy the Pay-Per-View session. Thanks again.
AOLiveMC8: You are most welcome. We will catch you this Saturday on the Pay-Per-View! Thank you, ladies. A rare pleasure. Good luck to you. Don't miss TLC in concert premiering Saturday, March 18 on Pay-Per-View!
