Philly Student Takes TLC's Left Eye To Prom (1999)

TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes was in her native Philadelphia last Friday night to accompany Strawberry Mansion High School senior Malcolm Blair to his prom.

Blair, a longtime fan of TLC, invited Lopes to the formal dance in a letter which impressed Lopes so much, she accepted.

"He was asking me to go on a prom with him, to be his date," Lopes told MTV News. "But the way he had written the letter was as if [I] had already said yes. He was discussing what color we should wear, and he needed me to call him and give him my input. And so I showed the letter to my boyfriend, and I said, 'Look at this. This is so cute.' And he said, '
